  1. Am driving my stock Prado for almost 2 years offroading perfectly, I fully agree on the side clips of the bumper but all what you need is as mentioned just trim the bumper and have more holding for it

Prado has a stock engine protector at the bottom of the car, sure Skid plate is a good add on but from my experience with Prado its not a must

Lifting 2'' is a great you can use King lifting kit which is perfect for Prado, some are using Fox but I can say KING is the best

Never think of metal bumper it will add weight and will not pass RTA

  2. @Chaitanya D great lead and wonderful enthusiasm drive, you manged the ride by scaling from easy to moderate as the convoy moves ahead, you didn't spare an effort to come back whenever needed to help and support drivers, going through Margham desert with beautiful sights seeing was amazing, am used for your fewbie drive but was amazed how you managed this newbie one

@Anish SS  as always, you managed center forward position in professionalism of leaders you know perfectly how to help and support drivers to maintain safety

@AlexPolour first ride together, you made it perfectly for 2nd lead position

I was worried when I saw @Abdul Rahman Abdul Kader and @Thomas Varghese stuck near to each other that's why I announced on the radio and asked them to stay on standby without movement even I know it can be managed but the cars where very near to each other with families inside that's why I didn't want to risk and asked for @Anish Ssupport, as we learned in carnity ALWAYS SAFETY First, it was managed perfectly and safely

Wishing I was able to be good sweep to the convoy making sure all  cars moving well, sorry for the radio interference and am wishing it was managed well

Over all I really liked the drive and looking forward for Afternoon fewbie drive next weekend

  3. Dear All

This was a great fewbie drive - one of the best I ever had with great planning for ridge riding and crisscrossing - @Pancho you made our ride very amazing

@Chaitanya D you really payed a very important role here supporting everyone in this ride, when you put your lights on you changed the desert to noon time again - and the spices of technical dune crossing at the end of the ride to reach our exit was really amazing

@Janarthan your major role as center forward was played perfectly making sure the convoy is moving from the middle, for me personally following your track made the ride much easier for me specifically when am seeing you doing it I got the confidence that yes I can follow his track and will pass safely

I had couple of refusals which I was able to recover with @Anish S support and @Janarthan and @Chaitanya D didn't spare an effort to come back and help, even my totally stuck on the top of the ridge was self recovered by the support of the team on the radio

@Anish S as a sweep making sure the full convoy is moving safely from the back - I recognized you on top of the dune watching the convoy moving safely

Thank you all for your efforts and for the great afternoon ride

Looking forward to see you all again next weekend

  4. Thank you @Ale Vallecchifor the great drive, it's my first time as second lead (hoping I covered the role well), I was quite stressed in the beginning but as we move forward I enjoyed being second lead, following an expert Marshal like you was amazing with your informative instructions for me to change the route and come to a safe area with the convoy, I had one small refusal which was self managed quickly and one stuck on a flat surface (because I stopped on soft sand area on inclined surface) thanks for @David Ortells who helped me out quickly

    The night ride was amazing

    See you next drive

@Mahmoud Hamzawy thanks for this reminder - Yes, @Gaurav stopped and rescued other drivers in need: another really part of our drive and important rule of etiquette I should not have forgotten to mention. The example that he set, stopping our whole convoy to help them was important to see.

If there are people in need, who you can help, and will let you help them in the way you think you can, make the offer. If we were ever tempted to go offroad alone it's good to know that there are kind souls out there prepared to help you out of trouble.

And your other point about drive discipline: It's not easy to stay inside the car, it's not as much fun - but it does mean that we stay safe because WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE.

@Wrangeld Thank you for the detailed comprehensive trip report - and all your efforts during the ride

  6. Thank you @Wrangeld for amazing informative report actually you and @Jeepie made a great job helping everyone and keeping all safe, you didn't spare an effort to come fast and support for any refusal / stuck, and in this hot weather you where ready with your Shevle to help me and others,

@Gaurav nothing is compared to driving in this area under the lead of Gaurav, you always ready to come back and reroute to help all newbies in their first desert drive - and as always carnity family never spare an effort to help people, once you found Landcrusier stuck by himself in the middle of the desert you announced on the radio and the full convoy stand on standby mode till you helped them to recover even by tow rope and pulling them out (power of Pajero)

@bunty_and_pops great job for swep making sure no one is left behind

Clumping dune that big was a great chance for me after two or three un succssesful attempts and thank you all for being patient -

During sunset and night drive was amazing and very enjoying with the cooling breeze around us

After 3 month away because of this COVID driving back and hitting the dunes was maximum enjoyment for me

Thank you all who for this drive and specially I would like to thank all drivers who stayed in their cars as we all returned back home safe and not even worried about this bad virus
