Tawi Nizwa is one of the iconic starting points for Carnity, and I'm sure most of you have already driven in this area. But it offers so many possible variations that each drive remains unique. It will be a mix of smooth dunes, some high climbs, nice ridges and bowls, a bit of technical... and of course a nice desert environment. Passengers are ok, provided that they have taken the necessary precaution for motion sickness. As a reminder, they are not allowed to drive. Check your radio, and tune it to Channel 2. Take as much rest as you can before the drive, you will need your full focus and concentration for the early morning ! Lots back in Canada, but completely new to desert driving. I took the Carnity Driving Masterclass last week with Srikumar. Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks / eyelets in good conditions Yes, my vehicle has front and rear tow hooks. Please confirm you have a programmable radio and a flag I have a bunch of Retevis walkie talkies, but I'm not sure what frequencies they are set at, and they are not programmable. I do have a sand flag. Please ensure you watch the below video before tomorrow's drive I have watched the video.

I was referring to the most stressful moment of the week, Monday 7:00 pm when the drives come open for registration on the website, and we go refresh, refresh, refresh, click !!! .... and most drives get full in less than 1 min !

Dear Sand Sailors Thanks for RSVPing for the drive. Lisali is known as the first love of those who enjoy technical areas. However, there's another side of Lisalli - much less explored and hence much less travelled - its the beautiful long range dunes that extend beyond Muraquab in North to Qudra in South and much ahead. Our plan for the drive is to explore this terrain - criss-crossing through some awesome dunes and riding some of the most beautiful ridges Dubai has to offer. The fact that King of Shuwaib and Badayer @Shaz Shah has decided to join with us is a good reflection of what this terrain offers..:) Thanks @Shaz Shah We will meet at 5am and based on how it goes will decide our end point close to 9am.
