  1. Dear All,

Yesterday I encountered with a fraudulent transaction clean sweeping my bank balance. I never share pin, otp even with my wife. Where ever I tap in the shop I make sure I do it on my own. Still this incident happened with out even receiving OTP. Bankers say that Visa and Master cards have pre approved vendors for whom OTP is not required. Scammers take advantage if this. Banks don’t take responsibility for this to enhance the security. The only option to protect is to set a maximum transaction limit. Such crapy solution from banks running on high end tech solution. At least not to get scammed again I decided to set a limit and also advised by my friend, will maintain another account just only for shopping and topping up that account only when needed. Thought of sharing this with you all so that you can be aware and protect your hard earned money and have peace of mind rather than calling banks and visiting police station to recovery the money.

  2. Dear All,

We all are advised to drive leaving safe distance (5-10 car space) from the car in the front. We all follow that no doubt its for all our safety.

But while night drive the safety distance is reduced and we follow the car in the front very closely.

During night with reduced visibility if can drive close (2-3 cars space), why not during day time?

Of course day time drive pace might be more, still the alertness and response time will be better in day than night.

Had any body else thought like me!!!! Just want to understand better!

  3. Thanks @Lorenzo Candelpergher, @Chaitanya D, @Shaz Shah and all the seniors in the drive for such a wonderful evening drive. Except for few cresting and minor refusals all were self recovered. Kudos to the entire convoy.

Have to mention the importance of Dr. as the presence of @Chaitanya D and @M.Seidamwas reassuring safety of @PaoloMaraziti and was glad to see the effort taken by team in dropping out @PaoloMarazitiby taking long route to ensure his safety. Hats of to @Carnity team. Way to go!!!

Thanks @Lorenzo Candelpergher for extending the drive as a token of acknowledgement of the entire team who were waiting patiently and concerned about the safety of the fellow men and crew.

Looking forward for another wonderful drive. Have a nice week ahead.

As precautionary measure, I will stop for a while the night drives. I feel less comfortable in reading the ground during night and discovered that the scenery is an integral part of what I enjoy in our drives. I will also be careful with the cold water, I think a very cold bottle might have caused my nausea/block my digestion

Thank God you recovered and also know the reasons for your situation. It all happens and nothing to worry, take care and hope to see rocking when you are back on sands.

  5. Thank you Angela @Foxtrot Oscar for the yet another wonderful evening drive from you. Free flow of fun, energy and still focused on the drive and keeping the communication going, lots to learn from you!!!  You are truly an🧚🏿‍♀️
Thanks to @Islam Soliman, @Alexander Alcala and @Arman for the tireless wonderful support, really an asset to the convoy and Carnity.

Even though we started little late we were not struck at all and able to catchup with good pace. Every one drove really well. Very few minor refusals all self recovered and with subsequent attempts.

It was pop out issue(2 out of 3) on my count) we had to deal with and was fixed by team rather quickly. Little technical, lovely side slopes, perfect crisscrossing, excellent ridge riding and churned-up sand in the behind, it was mix of all, except for steep climbing. Good learning for all.

After safely exiting few of us on time (due to time constraint), @Foxtrot Oscartook a bunch of guys back into dark for an extended drive. I believe you guys rocked and had fun. What a commitment and love of the sport displayed by all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks to entire convoy. Looking forward to meeting you all in sand soon. Have a nice week ahead!!!!

    Trip report

Well we had signups who were pretty experienced even though it was a newbie drive and the challenges were hence managed with minimal issues. Quite impressive how you all managed the first technical bit in 10 to 20 min landing us in some nice long range dunes in quick time. Why I say this ? If you have time read the thread on the other IM drive on friday night , we spent close to 2 hrs in this initial bit managing the technical dunes. That's why i love this challenge of bringing different levels of drivers thinking we can ease through but it always turns otherwise - sand and dunes of Lisaili are a great leveller. You ease through with apparently less experienced members while you have a eventful drive with more experienced members with multiple stucks and refusals. Vow!

@Lakshmi Narasimhan was absolutely perfect, impressive stuff. Very precise in keeping the perfect distance and correctly adjusting my minor mistakes. Well done and thank you. Love that wonderfully prepped Pajero of yours.

@Gregory even though a NB in his rank was very well up to the challenges without any issues. I suppose you are there at FB now and please go ahead and apply for your promotion.  We will review and get you to the next level, have fun.

@Fabien Monleau managed his classic LC well , few refusals and probably a tug. All done quickly, and it was nice to see you quickly correct your approach on the small slip side straight climb we did. Well done.

@N@ved thank you for managing he center forward well with clear instructions and perfect tugs where needed. I am so happy you are getting along that cute little TJ to pull monsters just like the story of a little tug boat guiding a huge container  ship. Well done👍.

@TT_Dubai no bumpers broken and a saved marriage🤣🤣. Frankly you did not because you drove beautifully with correct approaches and good control. Push that 5.7 V8 the same way and you will be having more fun.

@Wade Pat2 goes well with the philosophy of a stock car can do as good as any modified car even though older. Some minor adjustments and you can go wherever all go which was seen . Thanks for some nice videos .

@Ranjan Das managed his SWB wrangler well driving in the dark. It's time you bring the next level of your experience onto drives . Just enjoy your drives as you did with hardly any issues even though it was a NB drive.

@Nivin s reassuring presence gave me the confidence to push the whole experienced bunch further with the challenge of driving in the dark. Thank you my friend.

Please refrain from becoming complacent with a near flawless night drive we had on this day. Probably I did that and the very next day I was bought down with having and eventful drive, but all handled with correct measures. Desert is a great leveller , and build on the experience you gained on this drive. Have a nice week at work, see you all some time soon.

    Cheers

Just followed your path and instructions, nothing else!!!

  8. Thanks Dr. @Chaitanya Dfor the beautiful flawless cool drive and @naved and @Nivin for the support. Started on time, starting with tight technical dune, then followed by long dunes it was a great drive, fortunately weather was also pleasant and there were hardly few refusals self recovered. It was pleasure following your track and in-fact you have raised the newbie drive by a notch and entire convoy responded and drove well. Love your night drives. Have nice week end drives and see you soon!!!

Wow Lakshmi! Looking good. I'm following you tonight so this might mean I won't even have to use any lights 😂😂

Not yet installed completely considering the time limit, I pulled out of garrage so that I don’t miss the drive tonight. Next drive should be fully equipped and have lights all around.

So @Lakshmi Narasimhan doesn't have any dearth of "Lakshmi" to armour his Pajero to the hilt🏋️‍♂️🚘

With all your wishes and Gods willing, I should be blessed with more VM!!!
