  1. True @Paul Zeitoun and @Shehab Alawadhi... It was first time for me to.witness the sheer swag of these two vehicles.... On many occasions through the drive I was absolutely sure that one of you are having a refusal, but then you guys just pulled it through out of no where.... These are super awesome machines and you guys rock them with style.

  2. Thanks @Foxtrot Oscar for the lovely drive... The bowls were simply awesome...

Enjoyed every bit of drive with the team . I guess the machines were no match to teams enthusiasm n skills - we had our share of minor niggles over radio and had to let go the Pajero, TJ and Patrol. @armaan @Lucky sAm and @asifkhope you guys could or would get it fixed for next drive, looking forward to see you back in action.

Thanks to @Ahab Shamaa for cracking the code to Camel Rock and to @AlexPol and @Islam Soliman for keeping the convoy togather through the labyrinth of bowls...

I experienced and truly enjoyed  the awesome aura of Raptor and HEMI, both have mastered the art of seduction..😀 - a bit of distance and they were the energy  boosters and everytime  I tried venturing into the inner circle the heat was a bit too much for even my Jeepto handle, leading to couple of refusals. Lesson learnt - some things are better cherished with eyes only. @Shehab Alawadhi @Paul ZeitounZe

Was my first drive with @Ashok chaturvedi was fun meeting you hope to catch up again once you are back from India.

Thanks guys for the nice evening, looking forward to drive with all again soon.

  3. Thanks all for the lovely wishes... And special thanks to all Marshal, leads and all the Carnity members who have been instrumental in my learning process over last 3-4 months. I remember well the day I went for my Absolute Fewbie drive with @Wrangeld had to read the manual a night before on how to switch  my Jeep to 4H 🙂...and on the way was watching video on how to use the deflator and ofcourse the Not Fight Gravity lesson from Richard...Been very interesting months with some awesome learning session with Prof @Ale Vallecchifun times with @Rahimdad bhai always telling me to take it easy, thanks to Sweihan and Shuwaib ride with @Chaitanya D and @sertac was a good intro to vastness of this beautiful contest between Nature and Machine. And ofcourse the continuous guidance over multiple drives  and over forums from @Gaurav @Vanessa8580 @Frederic @Kailas @Tbone @Janarthan @Brette@Lorenzo CandelpergherC and all friends at Carnity.

And the learning continuous....looking forward for the next drive.

Hi @Foxtrot Oscar I had to leave my Friday drive due to some personal engagement. So this will be my only drive for the weekend can you add me as wait-list for first drive (instead of presently being second drive wait-list).

Sorry going ahead with Friday drive, so continue as second drive wait-list.  Thanks @Foxtrot Oscar

  5. One point to share, this question has been there since these models were first launched and FCA knows their shit..pricing delta between Sports and Sahara is very nicely designed by company. Converging features will bring you to same level. So if you like features in Sahara go for Sahara I won't recommend buying Sports and try to match cosmetic and electronic features with that of Sahara.

As it was mentioned here, sway bar release, front locking diff, and a nice red metal front panel :)

Hehe @Ilya Golubinsky I Got the metal front panel in my Night Rider Sahara limited edition...😃 It really has its own nice feel to it.

I think in 2021 they have it in Sahara 80th year edition..

Why do most people prefer Jeep Rubicon over all other Wrangler models?
What makes this model special from others?

Hi I have a Sahara...was a question I evaluated for weeks before I made the choice... Key elements you need to evaluate are :

    A. if this is going to be your daily drive or weekend drive..

B Do you like Jeep in it's stock form or going for jeep with plan to do upgrades.

    C. If really planning for offroading, would it be more of desert or treading the rocky mountains..

    D. And ofcourse the budget.

I choose Sahara, as I had no plans for major mods (at least not on immediate basis). Like my Jeep in stock form and since it was also going to be my daily drive wanted to have some basic  features - leather finish and seats, bigger screen, better sound system, adaptive cruise and blind spot, forward coliison warning etc. I went for limited edition on Sahara and paid premium for adaptive cruise control (generally in Jeep this is the last thing ppl pay for but that's personal choice - though a jeep I want smart features as well.).

Another friend who bought at same time as me went for sports and spent the money he saved on mods..

Eventualy having spent almost same amount, On cool/styling scale, his vehicle surely is at higher level than mine - bigger wheels, awesome custom leather finish, a bit of lift etc. However he can't have comfort feature which I have stock in my vehicle. Plus for me all finishing is stock/company warranted, a big factor for me. So it's all on personnel choice..

Reg. Rubicon and Sahara for me was about budget. Perhaps a case of sour grapes I convinced myself that More sturdier and bigger wheels on Rubicon will make the ride bumpier on daily basis. I am sure if budget wouldn't have been an issue I would have preferred Rubicon over Sahara. Just the looks and feel of Rubicon is much better, ofcourse diff locks, dana 44 axles are big plus especially if planning to hit rocky terrain.
