That’s true! Good observation. Emmanuel won’t be there so we’re missing Jawaher. I believe @Tbonealso got himself an Xterra, but I don’t know if he’s joining this drive.

by the way we also have @Nivin who is an xterra owner in the club who will hopefully join us soon for our drives once his car is back from the garage.

  2. Cant wait to see an Xterra majority convoy finally.

Alright everyone by the way, I have quickly gone through the list of attendees for this drive who have not clicked the 'Totally Agree' button and I would urge you all to please do so as everyone needs to be on the same page with respect to acknowledging the covid 19 policies outlined for our safety and well being.

@Najeeb Mohammed, @Febin Frederic, @Kalahari, @Mahmoud Hamzawy, @Jeffrey Osito Pilgreen please ensure you have clicked - "totally agree" prior to the drive.

Congratulations @Shamil for your first drive post, highly respect the contributions you have made over the recent drives to make sure all are running smooth. This is a new feather in your cap, hoping to watch you grow further and take on the role of managing your own drive. Well done.

Thanks @Rahimdad Bhai, it’s all thanks to the support I have received from the seniors.

Yes this was fun drive and were able to drive at most of the time without any waiting period as there were very little refusal or stuck. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi @Srikumar and @Shamil

A friend of mine have suggested that after every offroad drive, we should clean air filter or air intake will be disrupted and will effect vehicle performance gradually, could someone shed more details on it, is this true ?

HI Najeeb, your friend is absolutely right. In fact i would suggest to do atleast the following 3 steps after every drive - 1) get sand blown off from engine bay area 2) get the air filters cleaned and 3) check for engine oil levels, if it has dipped, then top it up.

@Desert Dweller instead of pressing the button, try press and hold for about 10 or 20 seconds to check if it completely switches off. If not I guess you will need to do a little more research before you go ahead with any mods. I think @Shamil has already been through the worst phase as after he installed a kill switch first drive he could not engage it in 4x4, a second visit was required to get a proper job done.

Yes you are right @Rahimdad bhai and i must appreciate your memory for remembering this issue as even i almost forgot about it 😬.The kill switch didn't work the first time for me, because the garage didn't fix it properly, and they finally sorted it out the second time around. Its strange because that garage is a well known place(that i dont go to anymore) that does major off road modifications and the installation of a kill switch is such a simple procedure that a few off roaders have done it themselves.

    Hello @Frederic @Gaurav

This is my second ride with the group and but this time i am doing it with my own car which is xterra but it doesn't have option to turn of the traction. Mechanic said we need to install a kill switch. But my question is do i need to do that for newbie drives or can it wait.

    Thanks,

    Jana

HI @Janarthan. If you decide to go via the kill switch route, then this diagram could be helpful.
