  1. Dear Desert Wanderers @Gertjan @essam ibrahim @Bjoern @Rafey Hashmi @Patrick van der Loo @Dan S @DanielN @Ishak and @Cha what a fantastic way to start the weekend, I cannot thank you all enough for making the drive a memorable one and a very enjoyable one.

We started off on time only to get stuck behind a very large camel train. In our attempt to navigate them we hit some technical dunes, however, you all handled them brilliantly. We then got into our stride on the mid to long range flowing dunes of Nahel, we made good pace and covered a total of just short of 51 km’s. The distance covered shows how well you all drove with only one or two sticks and a couple of refusals.

We could not get to Solar park due to the festivities there, we will try again in the near future.

A big thank you to the guys at second lead and Sweep, @Bjoern and @Gertjan respectively, you guys both did a fantastic job and kept me informed all the way through.

A special thank you to the busiest guy in the convoy @Cha, amazing support and patience as you worked through the issues we had and resolved them with the utmost professionalism.

  2. Dear Desert Wanderers @Gertjan @essam ibrahim @Bjoern @Rafey Hashmi @Patrick van der Loo @Dan S @DanielN @Ishak and @Cha as there is an event at Qudra over the weekend we will start at the same meeting point but will not attempt to go to Solar Park and exit slightly before to avoid any issues with the planned festivities in the area.

We will be using Ch4 446.081 and the convoy order will be as per below.

Look forward to seeing you all bright and breezy for tomorrows adventures.

A pretty exciting drive with lots of action throughout the day.

When we started this morning, it seemed that the desert was a tarmac where we could  have driven without deflation and on 2H. But as the sun started coming up and the upper layer started to dry, the challenges began in the form of refusals. The maximum learning happens when you have Refusals and Stucks, as there is where you develop the finer skills of driving on the sand.

All the Newbies did exceptionally well driving, keeping the right amount of distance and maintaining the momentum. Today's drive was definitely above a typical Newbie level drive, and you all should be proud of how you tackled the dunes today.

@Imran Asghar and @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke were the real show stoppers of the day 😂But look at the bright side your car will now be even more ready for the DCT. I am sure @Davie Chase would be glad that the broken rim happened on a Newbie drive rather than when they are making a challenge for the Champions Trophy.

Big thank you to @Davie Chase , @Benjamin  @Fabien Monleau for joining and supporting the drive. Special mention to @Felix Obst who handled the Second Lead position superbly well.

It was a pleasure driving with all of you on a beautiful Sunday morning in Sweihan.

Till we meet again on sands, take care.

@Srikumar yes for sure i am glad we found this at this time and not during DCT. Also happy that we were able to overcome the issues and get both @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke and @Felix Obst out safely, due to the whole convoy pitching in especially @Fabien Monleau and @Benjamin true team carnity effort :)

Good afternoon intrepid  Desert Wanders @Ishak @Pascal and @Zulfikhar Naiyar thank you all for showing up on time this morning and joining me for todays Fb+ adventures in this beautiful part of the Abu Dhabi desert.
you guys all drove fantastically well with only three stucks including my own ridge cresting (pics in the Gallery). We had a little bit of everything today, from super soft white sand to technicals and some mid to long range dunes.
A big thank you to my three S/L’s @Ishak @Pascal and @Zulfikhar Naiyar you guys did a fantastic job each and everyone of you as I cycled you through the S/L position. Not forgetting my three Center forwards  @Ishak @Pascal and @Zulfikhar Naiyaras well as my three sweeps @Ishak @Pascal and @Zulfikhar Naiyar you all played a blinder in these roles lol :):):):)

@Ishak for first time in the sweep role you did great job well done mate, now you need to sign up for DCT.

I hope you all enjoyed being cycled through the positions, it is something that we don’t do often but is great fun when convoy size allows.

We covered just over 66km in 2 hrs 45 minutes (moving time) in fact it was further than that as I forgot to hit record as we left the starting point, so nearly 70 Kim’s, fastest moving speed nearly 52 kph, That is amazing and testament to how well you guys drove.

Thanks again for a magic Saturday morning in the sand, have a great weekend and see you all again real soon in the dunes.

  9. Dear desert wanders, @Pascal and @Zulfikhar Naiyar as you guys may have noticed there are only two of you signed up for the drive, this is the minimum requirement for a carnity driver. Therefore, I wanted to reach out to both of you to gauge your intended participation. If either one of you drop out or is a no show on the morning of the drive we will not be able to move off and will have to cancel. I am more than happy to lead the drive with just the two of you, I just need to know that we will indeed have a convoy :) please reply to this thread at your earliest convenience so we can make plans :) for Saturday thanks in advance.

  10. Dear Desert wanderers, @Emanuel, @Rafey Hashmi, @essam ibrahim, @Ali-M, @Gautam Banka, @Mohammad Sayawoush Azad, @Issam Atra,  @Xavi Moyano, @Shahid Mehmood and @Mahmoud Taha firstly thank you for an amazing Sunday morning Fb Drive I had a fantastic time leading you all through the beautiful Tawi NIzwa Desert to pink and then red rock.

Furthermore, your patience today was outstanding, and I commend each and every one of you for smiling the whole way round.

You guys all drove extremely well with only the one stuck that I can remember, although we did have quite a few refusals which were handled expertly by @Mahmoud Taha who played a blinder in the sweep position keeping me informed all the way until the end of the drive.

My S/L @Emanuel drove a next to perfect S/L following my instructions to jink left a little or right a little and patiently waiting whilst I went back to assist with some refusals and re-routes.

A Special shout out to the Tea bearer @Ali-M for providing a well deserved and enjoyable cup of tea, thankyou my friend that made my day.

I hope all of your passengers enjoyed their time in the desert and that you all have a great rest of your weekend, and i hope to see you all on one of my drives in the future, it really was a pleasure driving with you all today.

    Hello Davie,

Unfortunately, I will have to cancel tomorrow's journey because the 392 has developed a "Serv4WD" alarm and is currently in the workshop. It will take a few days for diagnostics, and then we will know how long it will take to fix the problem. Kindly excuse me, and thank you for your understanding. regards Gurcharan (driving 392—a Jeep thing)

Thanks for letting me know @Gurcharan Mehta hope nothing too serious and you get sorted quickly
