@Russ Thanks for the technical tips on the Raptor. Manual made a big difference and I just relied on low rpm and torque.  I will have more questions next time we meet! 😂

Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for today’s drive,  there continues to be things to learn and new areas to explore on your drives, and great to see @PaoloMaraziti as your co-pilot and designated videographer as well!

The drive contained plentiful opportunities for everyone to practice side sloping, ridge riding and crossing dunes, the latter presented some challenges due to the sometimes uncomfortable feeling of being unsure of exactly what is on the other other side, but with practice and confidence this skill will soon become second nature to all drivers.

@Lorenzo Candelpergher thank you for an action packed Friday morning drive!

This area is the perfect place to learn and improve desert driving skills and I’m sure everyone benefitted from the tutorials and choice of terrain; some small technical dunes to negotiate, crossing dunes, and side sloping of large open dunes.

@Marcin Wronowski - a fantastic 2nd lead, well done.

@Asem Rashwan - Hope you manage to fix the issues with your car. Please ensure you replace and ensure the integrity of your front tow hooks before joining your next drive.  
 

@Premjit Vappala @Mawy @Simon Dawood @Vishal Nair @Usman Basit @Rouaj @Muhammad Qasim @Sergio Big Dawg @Tom B @Mohamad Ziad Alhennawi you all drove very well. Continue practicing going up and down dunes and any hesitation will soon disappear, and keep in mind everything Lorenzo mentioned about fish tailing wherein if you feel the rear of your car is sliding down the dune you must steer down in that same direction, as counter-intuitive as it may seem!

@Anish S always a pleasure to be in one of your drives, this one was extra special as there was some completely new terrain I hadn’t previously explored!
