Convoy report for the Convoy 1
First of all @Sajit Modiyil and @siddharth maheshwari didn't showed up. It is definitely not cool to not show up for the drive you signed up. @Nivin couldn`t came but at least he gave a explanation. Hopefully your car is back to business
This was bit challenging. Maybe more than challenging. Actually we started very good, we drove from Nazwa to Pink rock making some sideys. Few refusals and if i am not mistaken maybe with only 1 stuck. Once we reach to the Pink Rock area we start having issues. Area was full of soft patches. Because of soft sand cars start having issues LR2 had hard time to deal with the soft sand without a low gear and Ashok`s Pajero start making a weird noise. In this point we decided to take Ashok to 2nd December cafeteria to let him exit.
While heading to 2nd December i found myself in a nasty situation. Right side of me pocket, infront of me pocket with a tree in it and my car facing to that tree. I noticed the situation at the last point and manage to stop before going in to that pocket but i wasn`t able to go back, one of my tire was up and my car was front heavy. With a brain storm with Richard and precious help from Rizwan we managed to take me out from the situation.
On the way again we had couple of stucks, which made us got slow and when we reach to the 2nd December it was already time to exit. We all inflated and exited safely.
@Rizwanm2 did very well. Thank you for being 2nd lead.
@Arda Yagcioglu had his first fewbie drive. Once you change your car it will be more easier for you.
@Ashok chaturvedi hopefully your car will not have any big issue and you will be back soon.
@Jose Martin flawless drive. Did wonderful.
@Wrangeld Thank you so much for your support.
Indeed it was nice lead by @sertac. we got the chance to do couple of sidie's today, but convoy movement was interrupted more often due to stuck and refusals. I think i was first to have a refusal on nasty angle, but it was all part of the game and good learning curve for everyone. good team work from all the members. special thanks to @Wrangeld for guiding us through the refusals and stuck, when we were head scratching, he made it look like a piece of cake.

Wow... What an exceptional drive it was today morning.
The terrain we tried today was totally different to what I have experienced so far with all other carnity drives. Thank you very much @Ale Vallecchi for a wonderful lead today morning. As drive post reads the exploration is what we did today. I recommend everyone to try this terrain at least once to have a different kind of flavor to their offroad experience.
The first part of the drive through abundant vegetation, farms and camels was very smooth. Most of the time we drove on some tracks made by locals maybe to their farms. There were lot of breath taking views along this tracks and I hope everyone enjoyed view as much as I did. After about 2 hours continues drive we stopped around a tree in middle of valley to take a quick photo and drone break.
After quick break drove about an hour and reached a tarmac where we were adviced to take down our flags until we crossed the road and reach our next entry point were it was headed to the black mountains. The terrain here was totally different to the first half of the drive. Sand was supper soft until we reach black mountain. There was couple of refusals, almost everyone was able to self recover at all the instances. The only time we had to take out the rope was to recover the big GMC crested on top of a very soft patch of sand. But rope recovery was not successful and finally showeling did the work to get out big GMC out of the crest.
@Islam Soliman you are great as second lead today. I think you were precisely did what a lead want to you to do by rerouting and holding the convoy as and when its nessesary.
Thank you very much for @asifk and @Wrangeld for your support as CF and sweep position and keeping us safe and moving forward effortlessly.
Until next time keep safe!!

Totally agree...
Motorists will be fined if their number plates are hidden or difficult to see, Abu Dhabi Police warned on Thursday.
Sharing a photo of a car carrying a bicycle on a special stand attached to its boot, which resulted in the number plate becoming obscured, the police said that such an offence will result in a fine of Dh400.
The police also urged motorists to report such violations to the police immediately.Source

Dear Desertnauts.
I hope none of you is yet fed up with driving in the desert this weekend. One more drive awaits us, and it's an absolute novelty in the Carnity menu.
We'll be visiting the area that surrounds one of the Royal villas, starting from Skydive Dubai's parking lot, directing ourselves north through a stretch of open dunes, toward a play area just next to the village of Margham, then we'll double back west toward the eventual exit point, just facing Lisaili (on the other side of the highway). All of the drive (except one play area) is barely charted (only driven once), so this will be essentially an exploration drive.
The convoy order will be the following:
@Chaitanya D as my Second Lead
@Islam Soliman's Yukon at #3
@Hatim Patharia will take #4
@andy_macdxb at #5
@tcarrimjee will be #6
@Anish S will be Center Forward
@Tero Vallas will follow at #8
@Kailas will cover the #9 spot
@Jeandre Bezuidenhout will wear #10
@Biju Abdul will take position #11, and
@Foxtrot Oscar will Sweep the group.
Please be at the meeting and inflation point as punctual as possible (being early has become many drivers' good habit), at 6:00AM sharp, tuned into Carnity Channel 1 (446.006)
Please be advised that to reach the meeting point you should follow the signs, through an underpass below the highway, and past a roundabout just beyond the tunnel's exit.
Rest up this afternoon, and be ready to go tomorrow. See you at Skydive.
Hi @Ale Vallecchi I signed up for tomorrow drive. But my name is not in convoy list.
However I got some urgent work, hence will not be able to join tomorrow morning. I will withdraw from the RSVP. If possible give my spot to someone else.
Enjoy. Hope to see u all soon
