Thank you @Islam Soliman for the drive. The terrain was challenging due to the soft sand but it was a good occasion to handle our cars in these technical conditions. Also liked to wander in this area - not commonly visited - and enjoyed the long dunes with the sun rising.
It was a smooth convoy all along thanks to the support of @Hisham Masaad and @Chinthaka Ruwan and every body's positive energy !
@Matt.T hope your car will be fixed soon and have a safe trip.

@Alain Canivet-Abikhalil @Ranjan Das @Darren Brooke - I understand that you are on the waitlist for the drive [and probably more anxious than ever to be included] after all, as my dad used to say 'that car's nice but the muffler seems exhausted'.
If we have dropouts, I will let you know.
That's a Fuel of thumb

Thank you @Ale Vallecchi Beautiful Tuesday drive ! We're lucky to have those, especially that you took us again on a new path.
I really felt it was a challenging drive but enjoyed every part of it. And when we lost focus, you made sure to put us back on track (pun intended). Felt way more confident by the end of the drive - which made me get crested right after sunset as I was trying too follow @Craig Finlayson's lead ( I did get tugged twice during this drive @Sunil Mathew 😅 ). @Russ please be more gentle with your tugs (no pun intended 🤣 ).
Thank you @Lakshmi Narasimhan for SL and @Ashok chaturvedi for being so helpful with everyone, @Russ for sweep and @Craig Finlayson as I said, really enjoyed following your lines.
@Zixuan Huang - Charlie @Sunil Mathew very well done for a first FB+
@Chinthaka Ruwan @Ranjan Das @Gaurav Soni pleasure to see you as always
PS : @Russ didn't get your number right, here is mine +971 55 145 2816

Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for an amazing drive.
It's nice to discover new places and new pathways like the ones you took us through in the first part of our drive.
You definitely bring us more confidence and techniques for ridge riding.
Pretty much enjoyed every moment this morning. Impressive distance we crossed that required a lot of attention and reaction.
And as per the LRDG motto Non Vi Sed ArteThank you @Ranjan Das @Kalahari and @Shehab Alawadhi for the support and guidance.
@Matt.T @Ashok chaturvedi @Chinthaka Ruwan@Niki @Russ Beautiful to see all of you guys this morning !

I was living in Paris before I come to Dubai. No need for a car in Paris.
When I moved here in Feb 2019 I lived on the Palm and my office was in media city, less than 5 minutes away. I was a workaholic, spending my days, nights and weekends at the office. I didn’t feel the need of owning a car.
In my early days here, a friend took my out in the desert with his family one day. I found the desert so poetic, right away !
This is when I thought, if I ever get a car, it will be to go to the desert.Later on, I met a girl in Dubai, she had a 2 doors JK and she knew how to drive in the desert. I would ask her to take me to drive in the sand and in the dunes. Each time I would get behind the wheel, I would get stuck and she would take us out of it (imagine how helpless I would feel ^^). Once, I even got us stuck on the roadside because of an island of sand while taking her kids to IMG World… This is where I thought I needed to take desert driving lessons.
Fast forward to Feb 2021, I finally decided to buy a car. Didn’t have to think long, went to Trading Entreprises, they showed me my car and I bought it.
It was delivered to me on a Thursday, on Friday I was with @Wrangeld in the sand for a Masterclass, on Sunday I was registering to my first @Carnity convoy drive. And since then, my whole lifestyle has changed... I used to go out every Thursday and Friday, work on weekends… look at me now, I never miss a chance to be out there in the sand at early hours, even attending the mid-week afternoon rides.
My journey is just starting. I already learned a lot and met many lovely people. I am more than happy and grateful to be part of the @Carnity community !
PS : and now I can take the girl to the desert
PPS : beautiful initiative @Enrico Biscaro

Beautiful morning ! @Anish S, as usual, your choices of terrain and lines are always interesting, fun yet challenging. I admire your calm and your pedagogy in all situations. Thank you @Vanessa8580 for the amazing support and your contagious energy. Even at 5am, no one ever feels groggy when you're around Good job @Russ keeping the convoy safe and an eye on everyone from the back.
Our convoy this morning was so fresh, really felt everyone was confident and happy to improve their skills. Also had some good laughs all along... That's the @Carnity spirit !
PS : @TT_Dubai @Chinthaka Ruwan nice pics !
PPS : @Fabien Monleau la classe !

Thank you @Jeepie for that beautiful drive. Probably one of the best I had
Really enjoyed climbing those dunes in front of Big Red, step by step and pushing the car all the way up ! It was beautiful, nice, challenging and different.
Thank you @Ranjan Das and @Hisham Masaad for the support and all the little technical tips and tricks.
The convoy was also very fun and good. I don't think any body has beaten my record of crests per ride, or crest at the same spot 😅
See you all very soon.

My first experience with @Carnity was for a masterclass. @Wrangeld was my instructor and after a few hours we were taken by surprise by a sandstorm. Richard asked me on the radio if I wanted to exit or continue - we continued. We drove 45 minutes in the sand clouds and this encounter with the desert made me respect it even more.
Today, while following @Anish S and when we came across the sandstorm, I had a throwback and this time it was a bliss. As usual, Anish you took us through challenging dunes, criss crossing and ridge riding at a surprising pace given the conditions but that the whole convoy kept up with. We almost never stopped... until one big refusal that had us all dig. That refusal was a very good case study on how to get out from a very tricky situation.
Thank you again @Anish S, thank you @Gaurav for the support and advices, thank you @Anoop Nair @Marwan Haddad @Sunil Mathew @Ben84 and see you in 2 weeks

Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for your pedagogy on the technique and tips and also for the bucolic ride among dunes, wildlife and vegetation.
This intensive ridge-riding session was much enlightening and instructive. Totally recommend it to get more comfortable and confident with this technique. I tried as much as possible to follow you "a la trace" so @Anoop Nair and the rest of the convoy can also follow as much as possible your trajectory.
Thanks sweep @Darren Brooke you got busy this morning well done !
Thanks CF @Nivin always comforting to know you're on the watch.
Have a nice weekend everyone and see you soon !

Thank you @Anish S for putting me as your second lead. You know how much I like this position
I had a few refusals today, I felt that I didn't deflate my tires enough at the beginning of the ride and also probably because I was too close to you at some moments and couldn't calibrate my momentum.Overall, I really enjoyed the ride especially that you took us into unusual dune path. You really made the best out of the 3 hours of driving. Sometimes technical dunes are "too technical" but as mentioned during the drive, your track made us all enjoy it (even @RooRzOn ??)
@Lakshmi Narasimhan and @RooRzOn you made such a good job that from my position I almost never saw what was happening in the back except when we were looping and got to see everyone riding superbly !
And @Marwan Haddad very well done, you managed to rectify the route perfectly several times.
Cheers !

Thank you @Yousef Alimadadi for leading us and @Vanessa8580 and @Kalahari for watching and supporting us from the back.
As @varunmehndiratta mentioned the challenges were many and oh so instructive. Not only when I got refusals and when I got crested but also when supporting other members to shovel and tug them out (I did use my brand new rope 4 times that morning and I enjoyed the responsibility). @Tero Vallas thank you for getting me out, it was comforting to benefit from your experience and advice.
