Two Way Radio Guidelines

• Every Off-roader brings his own radio, programmed to the frequencies described in below advice topic.
• We will not share spare radios or program your radio on the drive. If you need assistance in programming the radio, post a topic on the Carnity website with your questions and we will help you out. 
• Make sure your radio is fully charged. It will be your only way of communication while driving.
• Before buying, please carefully read below advice so you are informed properly on which model / cost / shops...
• No radio = No drive. It is an essential tool and you should make sure you bring it on every drive and learn/practice how to use it.

When:  11 Dec 2020, Friday

Meeting time: 02:00 PM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Action Plan:  We will drive through the lesser known part of Qudra, on long range dunes, occasionally separated by small stretches of technical dunes, where we will practice finesse driving, side sloping, principles of ridge riding and crossing (low-medium dunes), at a leisurely pace.

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 06:00 PM

Hi @Gaurav,

Very excited to join this drive with you on Friday @ 2pm. I am really interested in off roading and learned some valuable tips from my last drive with @Frederic & @sertac in Al Qudra as an Absolute Newbie and really taxed @sertac by getting stuck 3 times. Hopefully this time it will be easier. Off roading is a different style of driving from the usual ones on the tarmac and being little old, hope to catch up with the youngsters fast on the techniques. it was really fun for me and my recently married daughter Irene & her hubby. I really cherish the time spent with my new son in law Manav and hope he could also learn some of these techniques as he is very enthusiastic about motor sports. Also it will be a great help when he is around so that I don't have to bend down with my pot belly to hook the car for towing if we get stuck😀. Looking forward to meet all of you at the meeting ground at 2pm on Friday and start the adventure drive.

Please make sure to have all these mandatory items without any excuses, as without any of these I'm afraid we won't be able to allow you to join this drive for safety reasons.

• Fully charged and programmed radio (walkie talkie)
• Safety flag, safely mounted on the car
• Tire deflator and tire pressure gauge
• Compressor to inflate your tires.

These all items are NON NEGOTIABLE so please do not show up on the meeting point if you don't have these with you.

If you need any help in getting these stuff, search tons of information here or ask on the forum and many offroaders will be happy to guide you to buy these before the drive.
