    Hey Vanessa!

    Hope all is well...

    1) Which 4x4 are you bringing ?  Jeep Wrangler 4 door JL

    2) Do you have any prior offroad experience ? No, only as a passenger hahaha ;)

    3) Is your 4x4 equipped with towpoints at the front and back ? Yep, all good.

    Have all the equipment with me.

    See you on Sunday... bit nervous

    Ahoy Sand Sailors

    Thanks a lot for RSVPing for the drive, looking forward to see you all on sand. There are numerous stories, legends associated with the track we plan to follow, more on that will share later - let the mystery stay for another couple of days.

    Will it be fast or will it be furious (or maybe both) we'll see on Sunday, either way, we will surely have lots of fun. :). @Hisham Masaad has agreed to leave his fav domain in Sharjah to join us for this drive - looking forward to see his FJ cruse through dunes of Qudra.  And we will be supported by @Davie Chase whose shiny new shovel and viking rope is all set for the drive. Thanks Davie.

    Timing plan (just in case this helps anyone make their decision) - We plan to start to move with the first ray of sunlight at 5:30am. So, all please plan to reach on time in order to be delfated, flagged up and all set by 520am, following which we will have a briefing and will start to move sharp at 5:30am

    Since, we have quite a few Sailors in WL, just to ensure we don't lose out on a slot, please confirm your availability for the drive.

    @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler

    @Tareq Al Turq

    @Gregory

    @Sudhanva Sonawane

     @Mahmoud Taha

     @Warren Flay

     @Pieter Potgieter

     @Quresh Pajero

     @Adam James

     @Paolo Morresi

    WL order is as below, please share your confirmation as well, so as to evaluate options.

    WL 1 : @Reggie Landicho

    WL 2:  @Jona

    WL 3 : @Amr Aydin

    WL 4 : @salah2u

    Thanks again and looking forward to see you all on sunday.

    @varunmehndiratta thank you,

    Confirmed from my side if there is a slot available.

    Congratulations @JeromeFJ for your first partial lead.. it’s a very special and dear moment to me too to see you taking off and leading, I don’t know how many drives we had together since you started but they are a lot.. I am only sad that this new step will not allow us to drive together often as we used to in the past but I will for sure every now and then jump on your drives to to enjoy being part of your convoy.

    thanks @Rob S for supporting this special drive and for the amazing support not only in the center but man you were everywhere as usual .. great job Mr. Support; and thanks for your car battery too for being sooooo patient to stay with us until the tarmac before giving its last breath.. glad to hear it was an easy straightforward battery replacement with no further complications.

    Thanks @Imteeazfor sweeping today and putting up with the destroyed tracks by the Truckers at the back.

    @Nathan and @Mark D special thanks to you guys for the great spirit and teamwork staying with us and @Rob S until the car was out to the gas station and all passengers comfortably relaxing in the shade and thanks for the mighty Rebel for the tow

    @RiaanJH @Pieter Potgieter @DP1011 @Amr Aydin @Patrick van der Loo @Awais Zuberi thank you all guys for a wonderful drive and great teaming through the drive.. you all did amazing across all the challenges specially those of you marking their first F drive.. very well done

    Can’t wait to the next opportunity to drive with you again.

    Thank you @Islam Soliman you are an excellent leader to learn from, and always looking for the knowledge and the outcome from your drives.
    @JeromeFJThank you for taking the lead and making us enjoy the rest of the drive, and I hope to drive in your convoy very soon.

    Also the legendary @Rob S for the support and @Imteeaz for the sweep and the rest of the team.

    Thanks for the rest of the team for the fun drive.

    See you all soon

    Well, we didn’t find any bunnies this morning. What we did found was a group of  enthusiasts that were eager to explore some nice virgin areas of Qudra and beyond. Throughout the drive we were able to keep a good pace and only had a handful of refusals, and some excellent self recovery skills by @Yaseen87 and wonderful support from @Anoop Nair.

    All of you drove very well today !

    After having enjoyed the Qudra area, we crossed the road into Al Hathmah and the plan was to make this drive into a nice loop where we would exit at the Love Lakes. Unfortunately @Thian his Jeep hit a bump somewhere after coming off a dune which resulted in an overheating issue shortly after and upon opening the bonnet we noticed the cooling fluid was almost entirely gone and the engine bay was covered in pink coolant. The only option was to disengage the electronic parking brake with the engine off (we had to check in the operator manual), and tow the car out back to the road.
    As we were on the last part of the drive, we all exited together. I wanted to thank you all for the great drive this morning and the support from all of you !

    @Thian i hope the damage is not to severe and you can join us soon again.

    Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend !
