  1. Thank you @Gaurav Soni for the wonderful drive to kick start the looong weekend. Could experience all - good speed, long virgin dunes, crisscross, ridge riding, shovel, tug and winch. Thanks once again.

@Anish S thank you for the second lead; was nice meeting you after a long time. Goutam @Looper, you were great and very active as sweep. Thanks for all the support

@imranaasghar81, hope your friend recovered soon and that he is back to normal now. Hope to catch up on another drive soon.

@Jessica Lambert, @KAMALIO, @Alfred Alinazar, @Abdul Basit Khan and @Ashok chaturvedi - it was wonderful meeting and driving with you guys. Hope to do so again

    Dear Desertnauts,

a quick note for all of us.

The meeting point will be just beyond ADNOC's gas station at Qudra Parking. It's easily reachable as you exit the gas station, just before reaching the entry to the tarmac and the roundabout. Just enter the gas station to refill, and as you exit you'll have the meeting point in front of you, on the left of the track. You may deflate there, as we'll drive from the meeting point to the entry point on a dirt track. Please deflate considering hot temperatures for at least the first hour, and soft sand conditions during the second hour.

Considering the objective of the drive, to keep moving as fast as possible for the whole 2 hours, please bring refreshments to consume in the car, as well as make sure any passenger has had, or has access to, a motion sickness pill (we should try not to exit anybody due to this avoidable occurrence).

Final convoy order and radio channel will be provided on site.

    @Ashok chaturvedi, @JeromeFJ, @Alexanderrr, @Tom B, @ASAD., @Shaker, @Waqas Parvez, @Gilbert Khalil, @Senthil Kumar, @Gregory, and @Joseph Raju (please confirm you'll be able to join), see you all this afternoon. Have a nice day.

Reading this makes me want to run away from work...but then who pays for the fuel 🙄
Sounds cracker of a drive - have fun guys

I saw you message on @Hisham Masaad drive that your “bitter half” is not accepting to permit two drives a week and then see you accept the offer from @Gaurav Soni to come to the drive and I like whaaat?? And when you flip flopped I am like, yeah there's is balance in the world order.

Frankly the first thing comes to mind to us maniacs if some one asks to join the drive is “yes off course sure I’ll go”. Then the reality kicks in, and you realise that there’s responsibilities, and a world outside the addiction of driving in the dunes.

    Happy dune surfing y’all.

You know the pain….Gautam @Looper. You can only as much Vs the powers that be!

  4. Thank you @Kailas for the memorable drive - despite the fact that it was a fewbie drive and first night drive for most, everyone performed admirably. The two well spaced breaks were splendid and worked wonders to reduce the stress of night-time driving however, the interactions during the breaks, the light banter and relative cool weather under the full moon - priceless! Looking forward to more such adventures.

@hugo you were perfect as second lead; thanks Charlie @Zixuan Huang - Charlie for all the support.

@Jessica Lambert@Federico Galbieri @Haitham Khattab@Udit S and  @DP1011 - it was great meeting you and driving with you all; wish you a great week ahead

    Dear all,

The drive time will be around 3 hours. From Murquab start point we will be sprinting to reach the Murquab sunset point by 6:40PM (Iftar Time) and enjoy some time watching sun set. Those who are fasting can break the fasting during this time. From then we will venture through some tall dunes and later head to the Baja track where we will be sprinting to the other side followed by some intense driving. Around 8 PM we will have another long break to enjoy the sky ( Make sure to get your camping chairs). Then we again step up the drive and make our way to Solar Park.

Sounds very exciting @Kailas; hope to get a berth in the convoy.
