@Mikhail Lukichev, thank you for your clear and patient indications and advises. You have saved us many hours of try and retry. Thank to all for sharing experience and results, and helping me to dig into the camera menu !

A first sample from the jpg format, I need more time to explore the possibilities out of the raw format before putting them in the gallery!

This is a great initiative, and I would love to join. I see it is already quite busy, but I would appreciate if you can put me on the wait list just in case.

I have a Canon EOS 70D, with a Canon zoom lens EF-S 18-135 mm 1:3,5-5,6, and a small tripod; a reasonable understanding of the camera settings, but no specific night photography experience.

Thanks to you and @Emmanuel, @Ale Vallecchi, @Brette for guiding me through these first drives, giving me the confidence to enjoy the desert drives ! It is only the beginning, still a lot to learn, and for sure I will enjoy a lot !
