  1. Wow, I am really impressed with everyone in my convoy today! @Niki Patel you did brilliant on your first fewbie as second lead. Really great driving and teamwork by everyone. @AlexPol You didn't seem to have any issues on your first fewbie, well done.@Jack Thomas same goes for you, you handled that beast like a pro, but I am quite proud that I managed to get you crested twice, within 20 meters on two different dunes. @Aus Alzubaidi this is my second drive with you, I think, and again you weren't faced by anything. @Arun Mathew very sad you had to exit early, but up until then you were doing very well, I hope you will get the car to stop overheating. @Vijaysekhar you truly were invisible, next time please withdraw your rsvp so others can join, I think Hennie gave up his spot for nothing now. @Salarios  you drove well and did some perfect recoveries, well done. @Malachy McGrogan you were really helpful, good communicating from my sweep and very nice recoveries with the right amount of power. @Jon M you seemed to have a lot of fun and I like it that you try again with great enthusiasm. @Gaurav Soni thank you for assisting and being my center forward, you were in control. After a getting used to the sand we ended up doing a bit of everything, from up and over to side sloping and ridge riding, to criss crossing and we even managed very well in the technical dunes and in the soft sand. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did, see soon. Some pictures in the gallery!

  3. It was a shame that we were only nine cars, or was it?

Because we ended up with a very strong convoy and less cars also means less people getting into trouble😜

After a bit of a bumpy start with all the green, and both @Nivin and @Mehmet Volga playing with the ropes, trying out all the recovery skills so @Abu Muhammad had to come to the rescue, we managed to drive quite a lot. I took you all to the low and easy ridges near the bottom of Pink Rock to see how you were coping and to gain some confidence, which didn't seem really necessary because everyone was doing great. It was a bit of a shame that there are so many cross tracks everywhere, but I hope the shaking kept you alert. Finding our way around Pink Rock and finding a lot more ridges with @Veedooshee keeping enough distance to be able to reroute where needed and sometimes riding the ridge longer than I could, I felt confident we were all ready to climb some bigger dunes and do a bit of criss crossing. We started with the dune next to Big Red and even there it was completely churned up, but we all got through and up. @Francois Germishuys you helped out others when they were having refusals in a very calm way and I think you did a good job leaving a clean track for the people at the rear us much as possible. I am just sad I didn't manage to get you stuck😝

@Shaaz Sha and @Ahab Shamaa you did very well at the back of the convoy and I am glad we didn't need to use Ahab,s winch.

@Ashok chaturvedi were managing well and a stuck with a little bit of shoveling is something that happens to all of us sometimes

( unless your name is Francois) I thought it was very good that you didn't give up and just tried again and succeeded.

    Well done everyone

  8. As the number of participants is smaller than expected we will stick to one convoy.

@Sreenath Giridharan it seems to me like this will be your first drive with Carnity and that means you will have to attend an absolute newbie drive first and then you will be able to attend regular newbie drives until you get promoted to fewbie and so on.

Please sign in for the absolute newbie in the morning

, so you can drive in the newbie drive in the afternoon.
