A little late to the party, but as quoted by the rest of the convoy, thank you @Kailas for such variety in one drive. I've been trying to convince my family members to step out on drives and yesterday, my dad joined me. What were stuck situations of waiting was excellent time to bond with my dad and have him exposed to this new hobby of mine. So to everyone in the convoy, thank you for a great day out :)

@S Jacob, I think you need to take back your comment on your pocket rocket not climbing up peaks. You took it to the top everywhere yesterday. It was so fun to watch from the base.

@Naveen Raj, I've said this before but I'll say it again, watching you drive that Pajero on the limit is inspiring for everybody who wants to learn how to extract every cc out of their engines. You make it look easy but what's really speaking here is your skill.

@M.Seidam, thank you for being around everywhere and advising on all the recoveries and refusals. Your advice is always on point and it gave me so much more to learn and confidence.

@Naim Aoun - that was a great drive! The stucks are part of the game but you rocked that second half giving me a great line to follow :)

@Lawrence_Chehimi - there's so much for the rest of us to pick from your approach angles, the lines you took, throttle management and more. Since you were sweeping, I'm sure many in the convoy missed it but for those of us that caught you climbing, boy what a show!

@Gilbert Khalil - my dad asked me why I didn't get an FJC like you. You were awesome as always.

@Damien Ranjit - I said this on the first drive we were on together and I'll say this again. You are such a sensible driver.

@Gregory & @Charbel - always cool as a cucumber, you two are! The poise with which you pilot your cars forces me to rethink my throttle management.

@Daniel Yang- your beast is beastly! Those tires may need to lose a couple of inches but beyond that I would chuck out the third row and yes, always stay in 1st gear 😬

All in all, thank you everyone for an event filled drive. See you all out on the sands again soon!

Thanks @munkybiznessbro for your inspiration. In reality i struggle a lot to keep  up the pace with convoy especially in long hill climbs where I to have push my pony harder to its limits but will fail in most cases due to the notorious upshifting issue with 2008 - 2010 pajeros. I am still learning to maintain the rpm below 5300 to control the upshift.
I am so happy to have this car as it will turn me into a good off-roader.

Thanks for the wonderful drive @Kailas. Liked two bits of it the most.. the initial practice/coaching session we did for the ridge riding and criss-crossing... all along it was more learning it on the fly for me, but this time I have a better understanding of the technique and approach we should take doing it.... The second bit was the high pace drive and maneuvers that we did towards the last quarter of the drive...

@M.Seidam & @Lawrence_Chehimi. .. a big thanks for all the efforts that made this long convoy run smoothly.... learned a lot watching all those recoveries that you guys helped out....

@munkybizness Thanks.. perhaps I am learning to tap more our of the car...😄.. hopefully see you on next weeks drive...

Fully agree. Big shout out to @Kailas for assembling the convoy to witness all recoveries which @Lawrence_Chehimi@  M.Seidam did effortlessly. Overall the drive was a fantastic learning experience to all.

Having seen @Veedooshee@Lakshmi Narasimhan & @Gregory on previous drives doing some of the things they do with LWB Pajeros, I don't underestimate them (present company included) at all. You're all smooth operators :D

And we have @Frederic@Gaurav@Wrangeld who do wonders with their SWB pajeros which even  Mitsubishi can be proud of, they are the ones who taught us that gen4 pajeros are not the usual mall crawlers 😄. Having said so my next  off-road toy will definitely be a LWB or SWB Y61.

As the events of this morning are still very fresh in my mind, it's easy to pen them down. Firstly, thank you @Anish S for taking over the convoy marshal duties in @Islam Soliman's absence. I hope your car is back on the sands back again soon! Anish, you were an amazing marshal today, and as @Hisham Masaadput it, in your exploratory duties you took on the most challenging parts yourself. I'm still in awe of what you accomplish with a 3.5l Pajero. It really highlights your immense skill as a driver. I have much to learn from you. My car glosses over many of my mistakes and experience gap and seeing you do what you do, inspires us to push ourselves further. Thank you for navigating us away from the most challenging terrain by taking it on yourself. In the process, you taught me how to do better recoveries.

@Naveen Raj, you were an excellent SL continuing the pace through the convoy with @S Jacob & @Aisha S. I particularly had my eye on your driving line because like you, I too drive a LWB so it was a much better prediction on how I should approach the ridges and sharp corners (wherever I had visibility).

@Aisha S, seeing your Wrangler float up dunes and take the sharpest corners with so much ease made me question why I have a LWB. You were a great driver to follow. And thank you for punctuating the drive wherever there were sharp dips. It saved my nose on many an occasion.

@Hisham Masaad & @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ - having you in the convoy just lent so much confidence to me. Knowing the experience & desert wisdom you both collectively carry, I was always safe in the knowledge that if I ever did get stuck, I had an amazing crew beside me. And finally @Looper, I think it's time to ditch why your name is what it is. Keep it as it is but you're no longer looping. Thank you for riding sweep and keeping the back end so tight. Between the three of you (with @Abdul Rafay-S at the helm), my rear view mirror was witness to  a collection of some glorious ridge riding and side sloping.

All in all, thank you for a fun and momentum-filled drive. I thoroughly enjoyed driving with all of you, and I look forward to seeing you all on the sand again soon. I (my brother leaning out) took my camera out for a spin and I think there is some excellent footage that I can't wait to start sifting through :)

@munkybiznessi admire your observation skills and the way you put that in writing, hats off man.. btw don’t underestimate the power of Pajero 😜 I drive 3.0 😄
Everyone performed well, thanks @Anish Sfor another wonderful drive and also for taking up this opportunity else we would  have missed it.

The funny thing about the drive, after my refusal on that heavy climb, we have gone through 2 other similar climbs, almost identical to the first one, however on these, the car made it through with no issues.

I'll wait the new suspension kit to arrive, it will give me almost 2 more inches of ground clearance and the new suspension has more efficient action on the off road terrain. The stock is too soft, any minor bumps makes the front bumper to hit the ground. Not to mention the road radial tyres 😁😁

Guys thank you all for the recoverys. It was a fun morning. 😁

It was the same plastic fender 😂😂

This time I will use metal clips to assemble it back in place 😁

That’s how we learn, we break things and fix it, it’s repeated process.
