  1. What an eventful morning we had!

I had the unexpected pleasure of @Chinthaka Ruwanand his friend after Chinthaka’s car failed to start before we entered the sand - good to hear it’s an easy/cheap fix!

@Shaz Shah it was a great first lead from you in difficult circumstances, as well as the technical issues with a couple of cars, you also had to lead in an area where drivers from other clubs and convoys seem to have little regard for themselves, their vehicles or anyone else around them. I for one was thinking how good it was to be part of @Carnityoff-road club who take those things seriously and where we can all be assured of a safe exit at the end of a good drive!

@Luca Palanca Falsini thanks for arranging this drive and always good to chat with you.

@Thomas Varghese what a morning we had together! So pleased we managed to recover your vehicle to the roadside and was very glad to be able to assist you, it sounds like there is a diagnosis and fix imminent 👍🏼

@Abu Muhammad nice to meet you and hope you get your awesome ride fixed soon.

    @Javier Lucero @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil @JeromeFJ @Amir Amiri @Ranjan Das and @Rawad great driving and company as always.

    See you all soon 🌵

  2. @Mark DolmanI used the AOR suction cup initially but it pretty quickly drove me crazy with how often it would slip and I even had one snap altogether (which they did replace FOC to be fair).

Eventually I went with the plate Alex mentions above on the rear corner of the truck bed and it’s perfect. Just remember to keep all of the bolts that come with the flag when you purchase it as you’ll need those.

I still remember my second drive as a newbie with you and @Chaitanya D. It was a weekday  day-night drive with small convoy.   We got a really good practical session about crossing a ridge without cresting. We practiced it again and again.

I remember this drive, learnt a lot that day!

Hi @Chaitanya D, I agree with @Thomas Varghese, please do give my place to a Newbie level driver if you have a waitlist, I would not wish to deprive them of a spot.

Having said that, if there is an opportunity to join it would be great to do so!

  4. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for a marathon drive this morning, in terms of duration this was the longest I have personally done, with full concentration required throughout!

Some really interesting terrain and plenty of soft sand and technical areas to keep us all focused..

Hope your car is fixed easily and quickly @Rawad.

Thanks to those who supported and see you all soon 🌵

  5. Thank you @Lorenzo Candelpergher for the drive this morning, whilst it was unfortunate that events conspired against us so all 3 parts of the drive couldn’t be completed, I hope this means we will be able to return to the area again soon!

This was totally different to the Sweihan drive I did recently, which just goes to show how vast the area is..

Thanks to those who supported and @Shaz Shah I hope you manage to sort your car out soon (after you have located it!)

    See you all soon 🌵
