  1. Hello @Ramandbx, i think i drive the same car, i find it very strange that the Jeep auto locked. In my experience the Jeep does not have any kind of auto lock, not even when crossing a preset speed like in other cars, for eg. my ford explorer locks all doors once it crosses 10kmph speed.

    The only possibility i can think of is that you/something hit the lock switch by mistake and the door was closed.

    When i bought the Jeep, for the fist couple of months i did not know the car's behaviour w.r.t auto lock , so i used to leave the door open, not wide open, but i would leave it "unlatched", just touching the gasket and then  move around , like when you went for the briefing. Once i noticed that the car doesnt care about its locks :-) i started closing doors fully.

  2. Great drive and route @Ale Vallecchi..like everyone, i also enjoyed the margham bowls at the  beginning of the track..it was real fun and we should do it more often!!

    We were a real strong convoy, i believe, with no major stoppages

    It was one of those rare drives where @Hisham Masaad and his FJ must have felt under utilised 😁...thanks for the support along with @Alex Raptor

    As usual @Alain Canivet-Abikhalilhandled his role nicely,  probably you must be holding a record in number of 2Ls you have done...are you keeping a count? 😁😁

    See you all on one of the drives!!

  3. Great drive @Wrangeld, all “technical” promises delivered as per pre-drive posts and briefings 😀!

    Yes, looking back at the period from my absolute newbie drive with you, up until today, it has been a very satisfying journey with @Carnity and the amazing leads and marshals .. I still remember the ABN drive where at the very first small side slope , when my car tilted to 45 deg, I totally blanked out and just went over the dune instead of taking a curve and coming down. I could hear the concerned voice of @Shamil on the radio asking  me whether I was OK 😅. Btw..not seeing much of Shamil these days

    Thanks to @Ale Vallecchifor the sweep support, another marshal who has had a pivotal role in shaping up my off-road journey , with Carnity…indebted!!

    and @Hisham Masaad our Mr. Q springing into action with his heavily gadgetised FJ, and winching out @Wrangeld from a tight spot.

    Good to drive with all familiar faces @Zixuan Huang - Charlie following me, hope I did not make life difficult for you, me following 3 SWB cars , the lines in front of me were pretty deceiving 😀

    @Chinthaka Ruwan on his way to IM shortly, @Alain Canivet-Abikhalilalso following suit…

    @Humayun Ghias thanks for the help in airing up, …I have one of the slowest compressors in town 😀

    @PaoloMaraziti, @Looper

    @darren thompson we meet again.

    the new faces for me were @Werno our 2L and @Pancho who I understand was an active part of Carnity some time back, I remember seeing a drive posted as a sent off to him, while rummaging through the records on the forum…

    hope to see you both also soon in future drives…

    looking forward and coming back for more!!!

  4. Thanks for the great drive @Tbone , with support from @Janarthan, @Lawrence_Chehimi and @Anoop Nairin 2L..I and my son enjoyed the drive and the recoveries…and it’s a warm up to my FB+ drive tomorrow.

    everyone drove well as we had radio silence for long periods… couple of refusals , tugs , re-attempts etc are off course part of the game..good to see you again @Charbeland I am sure you had some learning opportunities today at self recovering..

    I was driving behind our raptor man @Will Seivewright who did a great job in taming his powerful ride….It’s time to get some new stuff…for instance - a new radio 😃

    see you all!! Some photos in the gallery

  5. It was mostly a smooth flowing drive , given  the route chosen by @Wrangeld, and thanks for trusting me with the 2nd lead role.

     But for the "double stuck" at the same crest by me, it would have been almost recovery free. Continuously getting crested on the same dune twice and just scraping through on the 3rd attempt, is not really something to be proud of :-) . Thanks to  @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ and @Abdul Rafay-S for the double tug, it must have been annoying to tug me out the second time 🙏 at the same place.

    Still scratching my head, as to what was influencing my judgement , preventing me from getting that right level of gas, having done plenty of straight up/straight down on dunes. Probably the darkness, as this was my first proper night drive ?

    So , a lesson learnt - do more night drives and get it right!!!

    Good to drive again with @Danish Mohammad @Pacific @Mario Cornejo, meeting some new faces @TheoB, @Santoso Marjuki and @Bernard Kalaani.

    Looking forward and coming back for more !!

  6. Great drive @Janarthan, along with @Zixuan Huang - Charlie at CF and @Hisham Masaad sweeping .

    The drive was a welcome tone down for me after 03 demanding back to back FB+ drives last weekend, given the fact that we were mostly going around the dunes for the first hour , and not much of crossings. From the 2nd hour onwards, i think Jana had bumped up a bit and tried to include crossings, reaching the Big Red, looping around the dunes and finishing off with couple of long climbs.

    It was a perfect mix and everyone drove well, as we did not spend much of stopped time in recoveries, but more in guiding and re-attempts only. A lesson by Jana  on how to recover a crested car with shovelling only , with the right technique was also a highlight of the drive, which i am sure, was a learning opportunity for  many in the convoy.

    @Nafiz at his first FB drive did really well, although his car had to sustain some "battle scars" as he put it, hope its sorted and we see you with your car ready to sustain more scars or avoid them altogether !!

    Good to see @TT_Dubai after a while and to have some chit chat with @Will Seivewright. didnt get a chance to interact with the others , but hope to see you soon !!!
